I wanted to talk about lesser known cosplayers. In the cosplay community, black cosplayer normally treated terribly because the stigma that the community has about you looking like the character, that includes the color of your skin. It kinda of sucks when you really think about it because this community always says it welcoming but in reality the community has loads of racism towards POC people
The cosplayer above goes by @plvnetmimi on Twitter, and she’s an amazing cosplayer. She always incorporates her hair into the cosplays and it’s so beautiful in the end. She’s such a icon in the POC cosplay community because she is a huge advocate for POC people to cosplay and not care what others say. Cosplay is for everyone and it should stay that way.
